  • Safety Environment

    WHITESEA SHIPPING & SUPPLY  L L C has identified Safety, Environment as two keys areas in it’s sphere of operations to ensure that the Company does not expose people, property or the environment to risk and hazards that can be reasonably expected, assures service in conformance with customer and applicable regulatory requirements.

    In following this policy, WHITESEA SHIPPING & SUPPLY  L L C :

    • Works on the basis that, led with active management commitment, support and accountability, along with commitment of all personnel, both shipboard and shore based, life, property, and environment can be protected from risks and hazards, customer and regulatory requirements are met, customer satisfaction and continual improvement achieved.
    • Employs personnel with required skills and experience, and provides support, training and development where necessary or appropriate.
    • Requires regular inspections of equipment, review of procedures and training to ensure suitability, and continuous improvement of Safety, Environmental Protection, and Safety Management System skills, including preparedness for Emergencies.
    • Uses its best endeavours to prevent and minimise accidents and human errors. To achieve this end the Management is committed to enhance safety consciousness, encourage all involved in identification of possible hazards, implement corrective action and monitor its effectiveness.  Furthermore all incidents, accidents, and near misses are to be investigated, corrective action taken, and bought to the attention of all concerned to prevent reoccurrence.
    • Provides instructions and practical advice to ensure vessels are operated in compliance with National and International Requirements, Rules and Regulations formulated by Classification Society, along with maintaining and promoting Safety, Health and Environmental Protection Standards.
    • Commits that this Policy is communicated and understood by all within the Organization by organising training sessions. 
    • Takes expected requirements and anticipated developments into account when planning its future operations.
